Microchips
All pet owners on Fort Belvoir are
encouraged to get the microchip
implant for their pets. This microchip stores your information
which can be scanned by shelters if your lost pet is found. The
cost is $15 for the chip. Call the Vet Clinic at 703-805-4336

National Pet Week
National Pet Week 4-10 May
is fast approaching. In honor of this event Fort Belvoir Veterinary
Treatment Facility is offering the Fort Belvoir Community a
week full of pet education, safety tips, awareness and DISCOUNTED
CLINIC PRICES.
National Pet Week Events:
5 May - Walk in Clinic for vaccinations. All
Vaccinations are 20% off. (Children of all ages are welcomed)
6 May - Pet Safety/Awareness classes at the
CDC's and elementary school.
7 May - Walk in clinic at community centers:
Lewis and Herryford
Villages. 8am - 11am
"Ask the Vet" Open discussion with
post veterinarians at Herryford
Village Community Center from 6pm - 8pm Topics include: Dental
Care, Senior Wellness, etc. (Children of all ages are welcomed)
8 May - Evening Clinic from 4pm - 7pm. Save
$5 on Heartworm Test. (by appt only)
9 May- Doctor Day: All day veterinarian appts
10 May - Walk in clinic at Belvoir and Quantico
VTFs from 8am - 12pm.
$15 Microchips with one year free membership
to Home Again, and 20% off all vaccinations. (Children of all
ages are welcomed)
Vet Clinic Policies
1. Child Policy
Any Child under the age of 12 are not allowed in the Veterinary Clinic for there own safety and in accordance with AR.
2. Prescriptions
There is a 24 -hour call in requirement for refills on prescriptions issued by a Military, GS or NAF veterinarian. Written prescriptions from civilian veterinarians cannot be accepted or filled at our facilities. Heartgard, Frontline,Revolution, Interceptor and over the counter sales and can be purchased at any time.
3. No Show Policy
A. If anyone has more then 3 No shows in one year they could lose the privilege of being seen at the Veterinary Clinic for 1 year.
B. If Clients are more than 10 mins Late, and have to reschedule there appointment it is considered a No Show. After three times of being late or No Shows the customer could lose their Veterinary Privileges for 1 year. The Fort Belvoir Veterinary Clinic appointments book up fast and there are too many clients that need appointments that the No Show Policy will be enforced to best ensure we can serve our clients.
