Important Camping Information
Camping is no longer available at Fort Belvoir. The installation is no longer resourced to provide or maintain safe and appropriate sites for camping. As funds may become available in the future to establish and maintain appropriate areas for camping, the installation may resume renting such space to authorized users. Until then, we will refer campers to other local, off-post campgrounds as well as other military installations with campgrounds in Northern Virginia.

Universal Studios Military Salute
Universal Studios would like to thank our Military Service Members by offering a free 2-park unlimited admission ticket as well as discount tickets for family and friends. Please see the attached flyer for all the details.

Gatorland Salutes Members of the Armed Forces
Gatorland in Orlando, Florida is extending complimentary admission for service men and women with a valid active or retired military ID during the month of May honoring their commitment to service that extends above and beyond the call of duty. Active and retired U.S. military personnel, including active and retired members of the United States Coast Guard and activated members of the National Guard or Reservists, will receive complimentary admission at the theme park along with a discount of 25 percent off the price of admission for up to four additional guests. New York City Excursion
It’s not too early to start planning your summer fun. Start with a day trip to New York! Ride on a luxury bus to the Big Apple on June 20th for only $45.00! Take in a show, site see or shop until you drop. The bus leaves from the Fort Belvoir Community Center at 8 a.m. and returns late in the evening. We Want You!
The Association for P.O.O.L. now offers the US armed forces the ability to compete in international amateur billiard leagues. Come out and show your colors for TAP’s new military division! All active duty, retirees and DoD civilians can join the TAP League. The leagues will be played on the pool tables at the Community Center. The minimum number of teams will be six to start & the handicapping of players is done through League Play. Ballroom Dance Lessons
Classes for Ballroom dancing are currently being offered at the Fort Belvoir Community Center. Sundays, Latin Dance at 12 noon or Swing at 1 p.m. Tuesdays - Tango at 6 p.m. or Ballroom at 7 p.m. Cost is $40 for the entire 4-week session. Each class is 55 minutes long. Belly Dancing Classes
Belly Dance classes are forming at the Fort Belvoir Community Center for Tuesday and Wednesday evenings starting at 5 p.m. and another class at 6 p.m. Cost is $120 for 8 lessons. One lesson per week. Recording Studio/Classes
Introductory Production Classes are now being held for $100 at the Fort BelvoirCommunity Center. This series of 5 classes gives you the basics such as how to mic up instruments and use the studio equipment. Participants come out with a finished CD! Taught by a PROTOOLS certified instructor. Strum that Guitar at the Community Center
Fort Belvoir Community Center...your "One-Stop" for recreation needs at Fort Belvoir...announces another musical opportunity for your well-being. The Guitar Room has increased its inventory by 7 new guitars to compliment the existing instruments. The new equipment includes 4 electric-beginner guitars, two acoustics-beginner guitars and one acoustic-intermediate instrument. Guitar lessons are offered year round for beginners through expert level. Cost is $75 per month and classes are held Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays beginning at 4 p.m. Individualized instructions can be arranged with the instructor. Piano Lessons at the Community Center
