Arts and Crafts

Physical access to the shop is available through front door and garage doors of the auto shop. However, restrooms are not accessible to persons with physical disabilities at this time.

Bowling Center

(1) The Bowling center has an entrance and exit and food service accessible to persons with special needs. Restrooms as compliant with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations.

(2) Services include the provision for a specially designed bowling lane, which accommodates both adult and children with disabilities.

SOSA Community Center

(1) The Community Center is fully accessible to all activities provided within the building. Game room equipment i.e., pool tables and ping-pong are not currently accessible (a review of available products will be completed and items will be made accessible when new equipment is purchased).

(2) The majority of services and programs are available to individuals with special needs.

e. Officers Club

(1) The Officers Club is fully accessible. Ramps, elevators and lifts are available throughout the facility. All rest rooms meet ADA requirements.

Community Club

(1) The Community Club is fully accessible. Ramps, elevators and lifts are available throughout the facility. All rest rooms meet ADA requirements.

Fitness Centers

(1) Specker Field House

(a) The facility is physically accessible.

(b) Restrooms meet ADA standards.

(c) Depending upon type of special needs fitness equipment is available for use.

(d) Services are available to all and both the fitness center staff and health promotion staff will provide assistance when requested.

(2) Wells Field House

(a) This facility is physically accessible. Restrooms do not meet ADA standards

(3) Body Shop

(a) This facility is physically accessible. Restrooms do not meet ADA standards

(4) Graves Fitness Center

(a) The facility is physically accessible via automatic doors

(b) Basketball and racquetball courts are fully accessible.

(c)Even though the restrooms meet ADA standards the door entrances do not comply with ADA requirements

h. Golf Courses

(1) The north 36 and the south 9 are fully accessible to individuals with disabilities (both club houses meet ADA requirements).

(2) Carts for transportation around the grounds are available.

(3) Staff is available to assist patrons upon request.

Van Noy Library

I.

(1) Physical access to individuals with disabilities is available by an elevator from the entrance to the first floor.

(2) Staff is available to assist individuals entering and exiting the facility.

There is no access to the second floor and restrooms are not accessible

. Swimming Pools

(1) Officer’s Club Pool—the pool is accessible to patrons with physical disabilities. There is a mechanical device to assist patrons and the pool staff is also available to assist. Locker rooms and restrooms are accessible.

(2) Benyaurd Indoor Pool—the pool is accessible to patrons with physical disabilities. There is a mechanical device to assist patrons and the pool staff is also available to assist with entering and exiting the pool if required. Locker rooms and restrooms are accessible.

(3) Pool 1 and 3—both pool 1 and 3 are accessible to patrons with physical disabilities. Although there is no mechanical device to aid wheelchair patrons, the pool staff is available to assist with entering and exiting the pool if required. Showers and restrooms are accessible via wheelchair (work orders have been established for mechanical devices to assist patrons and to bring the pools within ADA compliance. .

Special Events

July 4^th Freedom Fest/Oktoberfest

(a) Physical access to individuals with disabilities is available, Port-a-Johns and accessible

(b) Carnival rides for the Oktoberfest may be accessible by checking in with the carnival head quarters on site or by checking the Oktoberfest wed site.
