All Went Beautifully
Hi Trinetta,
Wanted to send a follow-up note to thank you again for all your help with Jennifer's 11/27/10 wedding. Even though it was difficult being an out-of-town planned wedding, it all came through beautifully in the end. I wanted to send the video and proofs from the wedding because it was spectacular. The Ft. Belvoir shots are great! I know the video is 12 minutes long but worth the wait to see the room set-up! Thanks again for all your and your staff's great help in making such an exciting and memorable wedding for us!
Sincerely,
Steve and Cay
Can't Beat the Venue
The officer's club is such a great venue. Everyone told us that our wedding was the most beautiful and fun wedding that they have been to. You really cant beat the floor to ceiling view of the potomac. Food was great as well. We had a sit down dinner with the chicken scallopini, oven roasted potatoes, and green beans. The bartender was super sweet and a really great bartender, she made drinks sooo fast. Would definitely recommend using the officers club for view, ambiance, and etc. You can really beat their all inclusive package either.
Perfect Wedding
My wedding was PERFECT - even when it wasn't! Trinetta and Tracy put up with my indecisiveness, my crazy family, and all the chaos that goes with a wedding, and neither one of them broke a sweat. They worked tirelessly to make my wedding day one for the books. My guests were so impressed with the location, the view, the food, the staff, the decor...I've had SO many compliments!! With my hubby in Afghanistan, I was planning a wedding with just me and my mom, and Trinetta and Tracy became like family. They were always anticipating my needs and were always thinking one step ahead of me!! I can't say enough good about these two incredibly talented and caring women! The O-Club gets an A+++++ from me and my family and guests!!
Nothing but Praise
Everyone at the Officers' Club,
I wanted to let you guys know, that you nailed it. We could not have been happier with the way everything turned out. Nothing but praise and compliments from everyone with the professionalism of all of you. The reception was beautiful, flowers were magnificent, cake awesome, music and dancing were fun.
The saying usually goes "do a good job and people will tell 5 people and do a bad job and they tell 10". I can tell you that, that will not be the case here. We wont have another wedding, but I am confident our paths will cross again.
Thank you again!
Two for Twenty
I do not promote events except if it is outstanding, but my wife and I went to the Officers’ Club “Two for Twenty” last night and for twenty dollars we had great steaks. (Chicken was another option). It was done as we requested, the salad was good and the side items were fantastic. Dessert was a chocolate mousse but we didn’t have it.
Every other Thursday they will be doing “Two for Twenty” and the other Thursdays they’ll do a pasta buffet (see flyer here)
The only drawback was it didn’t start until 6 PM. I think a better start time would be 5 PM. But we sat at the bar and waited until six. The silver lining was by the time we left, the traffic rush hour was almost over!
Retirement Dinner
"The dinner at the Officers' club on Friday exceeded all expectations.
It could not have been better! The reception area and bar service were
excellent. The dinner however was clearly the best meal and service I have
ever seen in any club anywhere. Plate presentation was only exceeded by
taste. The service was timely, attentive and not intrusive. Service was
as good for all 200+ guests as it was at the head table."
Highly Recommend. If I had to do it over again, I would do it
all over again at Fort Belvoir Officers Club. I had nothing but positive
experiences with Xenia and Edwin, the catering managers. They are great
over email and were always willing to help! The view is simply stunning--we
were in the Mount Vernon room (ground floor) and the view of the Potomac
is breathtaking. All of our guests commented on what a lovely venue Belvoir
was. The food was great, the open bar (we didn't even upgrade) was awesome,
the staff was friendly, and you simply cannot beat the price for such
a classy site. Belvoir does not require a military sponsor--there is
a $100 one time fee for non-military events. There is NO TAX and gratuity
is included in their per person prices! For $67pp (2004 prices), we got
a dinner buffet, 4 hour reception time with full
open bar for 4 hours, half hour of apps, champagne toast, wedding cake,
and some money towards head and guest table flowers. So many guests raved
about the venue. Honestly, this was one of the best decisions we made!
Lunch Event
Kudos to Ft Belvoir O'Club for a great lunch today!
Hi Ms Chapman,
Just a quick note to relay my thanks and appreciation for your superb
staff helping us out on a short notice at lunch today. In particular
I'd like to commend Elga, the reservations caterer, to you. With an
hour's notice, Elga expertly arranged for my 25 senior defense
acquisition program management students here at the Defense Acquisition
University to enjoy a reserved, premium seating, river-view buffet
lunch. Taking advantage of the DAU discount this month, I invited the
class of 30 on a voluntary basis to visit the Officers' Club, enjoy the
view and socialize with their classmates. Elga made that all possible
on short notice. I've received several positive comments from the
students on their enjoyable experience, meal and visit. One student was
so impressed he even suggested we adopt a Friday afternoon regular
buffet get away for the duration of their month-long course! (I told
him we'd have to check the academic schedule before committing the class
to that.)
We look forward to returning over the next month of class as academics
permit. Please thank Elga for me for a job well done!
Wedding Reception
To: Xenia Chapman and all the Staff of the Ft.
Belvoir Officers' Club,
It has been nearly three months since my daughter's wedding reception
in
the Mt. Vernon Room on June 7th, but the memories of that evening are
still wonderful.
Everything went beautifully, and I want to thank all those who were
involved with the planning of the event as well as all those who were
there that evening and made it run so smoothly.
I particularly want to commend Edwin Villoso for his help in the
planning of the event. He was very helpful and made good
recommendations for us. He was prompt with replies to my emails, which
was much appreciated.
The manager the night of the wedding was Trinetta McClelland-Bowen,
and
I want to thank her and her staff for setting up the room, serving
dinner, and in general making the evening go smoothly. And then the
power went out due to a storm and even that did not keep things from
going well. Some guests even thought that we planned to have the lights
out! Thank heavens for the votives on the tables!
JK did a great job as DJ, even kept singing through the power outage!
I had numerous comments on how good the beef filets were, so please
let
the chef know that his efforts were appreciated.
My daughter and son-in-law thought that the evening was "magical",
and
that was in no small way because of all the staff at the club. For all
of this, I thank you so much. Please convey my compliments to all
involved.
Thank You
Edwin,
Believe it or not, I am just now getting around to all of my "thank
yous", and I've been meaning to write you to let you know that my
daughter's wedding on Saturday, May 31 at Fort Belvoir was WONDERFUL.
Your staff did a GREAT job! Thank you for all of your hard work and
please thank your staff as well.
Reception
Dear Edwin. So many thanks for the lovely reception for my daughter and her
new husband on Saturday night.
The room was beautiful and the food was delicious. Everything was done with
an expert touch and you all really helped to make "our" special day so much
more special. I know you and your staff handle events like wedding
receptions all the time, but this was so wonderful that I just had to let
you know.
So many thanks for everything that you did.
Wedding -- Thank you SO much!
Hi Edwin and Trinetta,
James and I just wanted to send you a quick note to thank you for all of
your hard work in making our wedding happen. The day was so perfect and
everything went off without a hitch. We will definitely recommend the
Fort Belvoir Officers' Club to our friends for any future events.
Again, thank you so much for helping make our wedding day so perfect.
Wedding 9 January 2009
Trinetta,
Thank you sooo much for all your help these last several months in
planning Hilary & Joe's wedding. It was just fabulous. Your staff was
wonderful & accommodating. As you & I both knew we needed that extra
hour & everyone was so kind to do it at the last minute. The food was
wonderful. Everyone loved the view & the table set-up was fun. Thanks
for making my niece's wedding so memorable.
Dec 20 Wedding
Hi Trinetta:
My daughter Kimmie's wedding reception on December 20th was wonderful.
