Fort Belvoir Vet ClinicVeterinary Services personnel are authorized to examine, immunize and treat for the prevention and control of diseases or conditions that are transmissible to humans or animals, or may constitute a military community health problem. Veterinary Services are available for vaccinations and minor outpatient sick calls. Regulations restrict the extent to which we may treat animals. Conditions that are not transmissible from one animal to another or to a human, generally cannot be treated at this facility. |

PROGRAM INFORMATION
Microchips
All pet owners on Fort Belvoir are encouraged to get the microchip implant for their pets. This microchip stores your information which can be scanned by shelters if your lost pet is found. The cost is $20 for the chip. Call the Vet Clinic at 703-805-4336 to schedule an appointment for your pet.
Prescriptions
There is a 24 -hour call in requirement for refills on prescriptions issued by a Military, GS or NAF veterinarian. Written prescriptions from civilian veterinarians cannot be accepted or filled at our facilities. Anyone wanting to purchase Heartgard, Revolution or Interceptor will need to have been seen at the Ft. Belvoir VTF within the last year and also had a heart worm test done within the last year. If they did not receive the test at the Ft. Belvoir VTF, the owner must bring in proof from the other veterinary clinic.

Eligibility
Generally, pets belonging to active duty or retired military of all services and their family members are eligible. Reservists who are on active duty for over 30 days are eligible. In short, if your family can receive non emergency medical coverage at DeWitt Hospital, you can use our services.

Directions to Fort Belvoir Veterinary Clinic:
1. Enter Fort Belvoir from the back gate. (Tulley gate).
2. Turn Right at the first stop light, this will put you on Theote Rd.
Stay on Theote Rd. to the fork
in the road and stay right to the stop
sign.
3. Go across Warren Rd. The Vet Clinic is across the road. Bldg 610 on Warren and Theote Rd.

Arts & Crafts Center Framing Class 3rd Sat of each Month / 8 am-12 noon Basic framing techniques are taught the 3rd Saturday of the month from 8 am-12 noon. $60 includes an 8 x10 kit. The kit contains a picture, mat board, foam core, glass, molding and mounting materials as well as use of the facility. Students will go home with framed artwork ready to hang on the wall.
