The Van Noy LibraryFort Belvoir's Van Noy Library has a variety of of popular books and reference materials both in print and online. The library offers current best selling fiction and non-fiction, classic literature, CD audio books, DVDs, magazines and newspapers. Registered borrowers may download e-books and audio books. Van Noy has something for every age and interest including a children's library and a young adult collection. Public computers are available for authorized library patrons to use the internet or use MS Office applications. Online databases have dozens of resources such as encyclopedias, journal articles, automobile repair manuals, college prep tests, and language learning modules. The library has Wi-Fi for those bring in their laptops or other mobile devices.

VAN NOY LIBRARY EVENTS
STORY TIME | Wednesdays at 10:30 am
Free and no registration necessary; from 10:30 - 11:30 am for children ages 0-5. Just come to the library with your little ones and enjoy the stories that are read aloud.
Story Time is offered under a partnership with the Fairfax County Public Library System.
The Van Noy Library has Book Clubs of various age ranges and subject matter, that meet regularly to discuss the chosen books. Call Van Noy to see which clubs are meeting!
Recently read a good book or trying to remember one? Search by plot by entering keywords such as “Submarines in World War II” or “James Bond” or choose a genre or subject. Search for your favorite titles and choose subjects that you are interested in to find more (e.g. Alice in Wonderland). New material is added daily!

In the Children's Library (on the 1st floor), parents and children can can find books, participate in summer reading programs and activities, attend story-hours, use a computer together, or ask staff about great books to read.
Young Adult Collection
The YA collection has a new home near the circulation desk. It is continuously growing with fiction and non-fiction. You will also find audio books and some graphic novels.
DVD’s: adventure, classics, foreign language, documentaries, instructional, children’s, performance and award winning films. You’ll find it all here.
Audio Books, or “talking books,” of current fiction, classics, non-fiction and biographies are available.
Circulating fiction and non-fiction books are on the 1st floor. We are currently in process of updating the collection to be able to offer you the latest and greatest.
Career and resume books are now on the 1st floor.
NEW - Exam Books are on the 1st floor.
Non-circulating reference books on a variety of subjects are available for research. Online databases are available here on this webpage, look on the right side of the page. A Reference Librarian is on hand to assist with research projects, offer instruction in using online resources, and to help locate needed information.
Magazines, newspapers, Consumer Reports, used car price guides, and related materials may not be checked out but are available for leisure reading or research.
A collection of circulating books, biographies, and non-circulating reference materials on military history are in the Military History Room. History books are also located on the 1st floor in the non-fiction section.

Military stationed at Fort Belvoir (including TDY) and your family.
Members of armed forces and their families residing in the area.
Retired military and their families living in the area.
DoD civilians working/living in the area.
Present the appropriate ID, register, and you can begin borrowing immediately.
