Annual Two Days Member/Guest Golf Tournament! This year's tournament/party will be convened Friday and Saturday. Sign up as a 2-person team and play 18 holes each day. The golf course on Friday is Gunston holes 1 to 9 turning onto Woodlawn holes 10 to 18; the golf course on Saturday is Woodlawn holes 1 to 9 turning onto Gunston holes 10 to 18. Men play from the blue tees and women play from the white tees. Read the announcement for full details on the tournament.

Results from the 2011 Club Championship Tournament
The 2011 Club Championship was a great success, the weather was perfect, and the golf course
conditions were rated excellent by the majority of the participants.
The entire staff of the Fort Belvoir Golf Club extends our heartfelt congratulations to all the winners
and place holders in this years’ tournament. We look forward to seeing you all again for next year’s
tournament and we also look forward to meeting new players in 2012!

2011 Club Championship Tournament Results
Results from the Patron's Tournament
Fort Belvoir Golf Club got its 2011 season under way with the opening club event “The Patron’s”
tournament. Held under beautiful blue skies the individual net event was held with 18-holes on the
Woodlawn Golf Course. Playing some fantastic golf and winning the net division was Jay Santee, with a
net score of 68. Second place went to Mike German with a net score of 69, and finishing 3rd was a tie
between Tomo Honeycutt, Rod Mallette, and Chet Young.
There was recognition of the top two gross scores with Dave Campbell shooting the best score with a
78, and Jason Bachyrycz finishing 2nd with 80.
Please keep an eye out for the remaining events on 2011 calendar: Memorial Day, Fathers Day, 4th of
July, Club Championship, Member Guest, and the Turkey Shoot.
Finally, I would like to thank all our patrons for their continued support, and please contact me with
your ideas for future events so that I can tailor our efforts toward the formats you find the most fun.

2010 Turkey Shoot Golf Tournament Results
The Fort Belvoir Golf Club held its annual Turkey Shoot golf tournament Saturday, November 20. Played on the Gunston course, this year’s event attracted a large field with 102 golfers vying to win the scramble format event with Net and Gross divisions. Congratulations to the team of Adron Krekeler, Becky Mahood, Patty and Clark Hall who won the net division with a winning score of 46, and to the team of Susan Laver, Mike Farage, Harold Neely, and Jason Bachyrycz who won the gross division with a score of 63.

2010 Member/Guest Tournament Results
Congratulations to Larry Johnson and Rick Blythe for winning the Member/Guest Tournament with a team score of 131. Under clear blue skies, and enjoying possibly the best weather of the year they won the event in a pressure packed 3-way playoff against the teams of Rick Cary/Chong Yi, and Mike German/David Campbell. The Johnson/Blythe team secured the victory on the very first playoff hole when Mr. Johnson converted a beautiful 4-iron from 200 yards for par on the very difficult par 3 18th hole of the Gunston course.
Next up on the schedule is our annual Turkey Shoot Scramble Tournament to be held Saturday, November 20, and it will be the Club’s last event for the season.

2009 Member/Guest Tournament Results
Congratulations to Patti Shoefstall and Randy Barton as they rallied from three strokes down to capture the 2009 Member/Guest Tournament with a team score of 121. Shoefstall and Barton defeated the team of Mark and Ron Moore by a single shot in the 36-hole event played on both the Woodlawn and Gunston courses.
