Free Jump starts on Post
The Automotive Shop now offers free jump starts on post (Fort Belvoir only). Help is only a phone call away at 703-806-4088. We provide a free jumpstart and/or advice on the spot. Be sure to place our number in an appropriate place - you may need it at the most inopportune time.
Notice
Notice: Any unauthorized vehicles stored in the Auto Skills Shop storage area, will be towed. For more information please call the shop at 703-806-4088 or manager, Dave Fraser at 703-806-4645.
Vehicle Storage and Fees
For vehicles stored at the Auto Skills Shop there will be a fee of $5.00 per day for the first ten days then the fee goes up to $10.00 per day with a 30 day time limit. Due to limited number of spaces, only short term storage is authorized. To make arrangements for storage please call Dave Fraser at 703-806-4645.
Bay Fees
Auto Skills Center has 13 bays, 7 lifts, and basic tools are assigned with bays.
Lift bay fee $5.50 per hour
Flat bay fee $3.50 per hour
Engine Storage and Fees
There is a fee of $5.00 per day for storage. Due to limited space there is a 30 day limit on engines and parts stored. Any additional time must be authorized by manager Dave Fraser, 703-806-4645.
Self Service Car Wash
On Gorgas Rd across the street from the Commissary, a coin-operated three bay self-service car wash is available for use.
Three sets of vehicle vacuums are also available. Call the Auto Skills Center with any questions, 703-806-4088.

If you're interesting in learning how to better maintain your vehicle, the Auto Skills Center is now offering a series of new classes on just about everything to do with your car, truck or motorcycle. Mandatory Auto Skills Safety Class New!
For Times and Dates call

Do-it-yourself mechanics wishing to use the Auto Skills Shop are required to complete a mandatory safety class. If you haven't taken the class, please arrive 30 minutes early to complete the training. The class includes an introduction by shop personnel, safety guidelines, and viewing a short DVD. At the conclusion of the class, patrons will sign a user's agreement, receive a qualification card and can begin work. For information call 703.806.4088.
Automotive Window Tinting Demonstration New!
Saturday, October 22 / 10 am - 2 pm
Students learn how to tint their side and rear windows using a designed window tinting film. For more information on this demonstration, please call 703-806-4647.
Automotive Paint Protection Demonstration New!
Saturday, October 29 / 10 am - 2 pm
Students learn how to apply a protective film on their car to protect their paint from scratches, dings, bugs, paint fadin and more. For more information on this demonstration, please call 703-806-4647.
